This TLC plate contains a layer with channels. Each channel has two adsorbent zones. The Channel-plate has 19 channels which help to prevent cross contamination of samples. The first zone is a standard grade Silica 60 with a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, and particle size of 5-17um. The second zone is diatomaceous earth. This zone is completely inert towards a large number of compounds. The samples always form a narrow band at the interface of the two adsorbents, irrespective of shape, size or position of the spots in the concentrating zone. Separation then takes place in the silica gel zone. The TLC plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. This analytical hard layer is bound to a glass support. It has a thickness of 250um and dimensions of 20x20cm. There are 25 plates per pack.

Chiral TLC plates are coated with a reversed phase silica gel, and impregnated with a chiral selector (a proline derivative, DP 31 43 726 and EP 0 143 147) and copper(II) ions. This plate allows for multiple simultaneous separations, a great advantage for routine applications and production control. The TLC plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. The UV-absorbing substances appear as dark-blue to black spots on a light - blue background. This analytical layer is bound to a glass support. It has a thickness of 250um and dimensions of 10x20cm. There are 4 plates per pack. Applications include: enantiomer separation of amino acids, N-methylamino acids, N-formylamino acids, a-alkylamino acids, thiazolidine derivatives, dipeptides, lactones, a-hydroxycarboxylic acids

This thin layer chromatography (TLC) plate comprises a C18-W (Wettable) Silica layer. It can be used in both normal phase or reversed phase separations with eluents from anhydrous solvents to mixtures with high concentrations of water. The relative polarity of the eluent determines the polarity of the layer. The Silica 60 has a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, particle size of 2-10um, and pH stability of 2-10. The TLC plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. The UV-absorbing substances appear as dark-blue to black spots on a light - blue background. This analytical layer is bound to a glass support. "Silica XG" is a standard grade Silica 60 with a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, and particle size of 5-17um. The TLC plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. This analytical soft layer is bound to an aluminum support. It has a thickness of 200um and dimensions of 20x20cm. There are 25 plates per pack. The Silica XG TLC Plate has outstanding wettability for precise colorization results, even with 100% aqueous detection reagents, and excellent separation efficiency and reproducibility from lot to lot. Cutting the plates is easy and reliable due to an optimized binder system. There is no flaking of silica gel layer. Binder: highly polymeric product, which is stable in almost all organic solvents and resistant towards aggressive visualization reagents; also completely stable in purely aqueous eluents.

These silver nitrate impregnated silica gel plates are for argentation chromatography. They are impregnated with between 5% and 20% silver nitrate which modifies the separation characteristics of the adsorbent layer to permit increased discrimination of certain compounds, particularly those containing carbon-carbon double bonds. They are available with or without a fluorescent indicator. NOTE: The concentration of silver nitrate (5, 10, 15, or 20%) must be specified at the time of order. The most common concentration is 10%.

Preparative TLC plates have adsorbent layers thicker than the 250 micron layers normally used for analytical separations. Thus, preparative plates can be used for separation of larger quantities of materials. The loading capacity for a given degree of sample component resolution increases roughly as the square root of the increased adsorbent layer thickness. In preparative TLC, materials to be separated are often applied as long streaks rather than spots. After development, specific compounds may be recovered by scraping the adsorbent layers from the plate in the region of interest and eluting the separated material from the adsorbent using a strong solvent.
